We’ve received several emails in the last few days from readers wondering what’s going on at the old L’Epicerie space at 270 Vanderbilt Avenue in Fort Greene. We’ve gotten reports of workers going in and out since the end of last week. There’s a Certificate of No Effect from the Landmarks Preservation Commission in the window and an approved DOB permit online, but neither of them give any clue to what the next incarnation of the space will be, other than that there will be no change of use. Heck, we even tried calling the building owner, Danny Browne, but didn’t get a call back. So who’s got the goods on this? GMAP P*Shark DOB
I thought we settled this. It’s going to be a family friendly Mexican place. Just like the Cellers space.
m4L 3.5k is a great deal, a good bar can pull in 1500 on a friday night no problem…
shortly after cellars closed, it was on mkt for rent at 3.5k and was surprised no one bit on it cause 3.5k for that spot was a decent deal (at least to me)
wrong, this is Dominos country / county
thats not true Pizza Hut already has a signed lease for 25 yrs.
Cellars is going to be a Sbarro! 😉
Cellars was great.
buy a beer and you would get a free meal, a huge plate of food.
and what about cellars across the street? 2 prime pieces of commercial space totally wasted for years. i’ve never seen cellars open, and L’Epicerie had such weird hours i never really considered them open for business.
It’s going to be a Starbucks .
