The building on North 4th Street between Berry and Wythe, which, in a boom now past, was going to be marketed as the Steelworks Lofts, is going to be gut renovated into a luxury, 83-unit rental, as we learned a couple of months ago. Turns out the developer, Bob Toll’s son, Jacob Toll, is wasting no time getting work started on the project. The renovation is supposed to result in “character” and “warmth”, and amenities will reportedly include rooftop gardens, a sunbathing patio, a barbecue pit and a bocce court.
