A reader noticed that a change of hands occurred at the old Bussaco spot at 833 Union. ‘PS Brooklyn’ is etched above the doors along with an etching of the Brooklyn Bridge. The owner told us the place will specialize in “homemade comfort foods” like burgers, pizza, and chicken pot pie. He hoped to have the place open the first week of December. Excited?

  1. > …when there are already plenty of places offering those same things in the area?

Really? Are there? Where’s a place that has *good* straight forward food (as opposed to “fancy” or “ethnic”) and a decent comfortable atmosphere? Maybe a good bar area thats neither hipster themed nor lunk-head sports bar. Maybe Park Slope Brewery… I dunno

  2. Agree with ishtar….if done right, this will work. People are very into comfort food right now…nearly all the most popular places in the city right now are either Southern Food, Comfort Food or farm to table locavore stuff.

Big, beautiful space. I hope they succeed.
