Enjoy the last of the summer evenings with a night spent lakeside enjoying music, food and a bit of fishing in Prospect Park.

Prospect Park is a prime spot for hooking a largemouth bass and at the Prospect Park Alliance’s “Fish, Brew & BBQ” event this month you can give it a try. No need to bring your own rod and reel, equipment and instruction on catch and release fishing will be provided. If you’d rather just watch and laze about next to the lake then you can grab a drink and some food and relax on the dock at the Boathouse.

The event takes place on Thursday, August 30 from 6 to 9 p.m at the Prospect Park Audubon Center. The event is only for those 21 and over. Tickets are $25 per person and include drinks and BBQ. For more information or to get tickets, click here.
