GoogaMooga Not Returning to Prospect Park

The GoogaMooga festival will not be returning to Prospect Park, A Walk in the Park blog revealed. The news was announced by a City parks official at a City Council oversight hearing yesterday. “After two years of assessing [Googa Mooga] in that site, we pretty much feel at this time that it’s probably not the appropriate venue for something like that,”  said Besty Smith, head of revenue and marketing for the Parks Department. The event caused “more damage than we thought” this past year, she said. Event organizers are searching for a new location, she added.
