This is the second significant problem the media has picked up on in relation to Atlantic Yards construction in the last week. How many people saw the photo of the woman swallowed by the sidewalk across the street from the site earlier this week?

To answer tyber6’s question, there are multiple types of work taking place in relation to the project that may have caused the sewage problem. The contractors for Forest City Ratner are relocating the water main at that spot and also are working on the plumbing for the transit station close by. As for the woman swallowed by the sidewalk, that may have been due to the construction of a new transit opening that probably includes work directly under that sidewalk.

Okay, please, next time that happens can we get someone who isn’t a stoned and annoying hipster with a bias against Best Buy to shoot the footage?
