“anyone know where the PH house is from the business week article?”
It’s actually in Park Slope, on Prospect Street, between 6th Ave and Flatbush, if memory serves.
The bed-sty story is really sad. The dividing line is becoming increasingly evident…
The graffiti piece is great too. I think its on Johnson and Graham in E.Williamsburg. Looks like an older shot because it’s kind of faded now. El puente in W’burg does great murals with real significance you should post one from the website… Your photos of the day have been great love the one of the bodega… classic bklyn.
Me too! I love that piece! A lot of graffiti is brilliant and innovative- wish the city had a program to really encourage these kids to do something really beneficial for the community. I know there used to be programs for that but not sure if they are still in operation.

I love graffiti when it’s art.
Re: Tale of Two Cities –
I wish the NYTimes Hunt column on Sundays included stories of more people like the Crawfords instead of their week after week ad nauseum of young college grads moving to NY or other priveledge types. How about more stories of trying to find place to live with family on city’s median income? (I guess not the NYTimes demographic).
