Crave on Henry to Open a Wine Bar
A tipster wrote in letting us know that Crave, the catering company at 570 Henry Street, is planning on opening a wine bar in the spot. Although they now strictly cater they were once a full service restaurant. Look for the wine bar come September, hopefully it will be a nice place to hang out…

I really like Crave when it was a Restaurant so hopefully the wine bar builds on the that. Clearly this is to take advantage of the foot traffic Lucali now brings in the area but when I was last there as a restaurant the owner explained the catering business was doing so well they didn’t need the restaurant.
I live on this block – like half a block over from crave on Henry – I will not complain and I will club those that do. don’t remember anyone having an issue with Lucali, there is a bodega, salon, vet and the strange sushi place all within a block from one another- and Crave used function as a restaurant which I gather just went to catering due to the issue of foot traffic which is not an issue now because of Lucali.
I wonder if the people on the block will whine as loud as the people on Hoyt street did when Mamary tried to open his place. In my opinion its a win too.
