The caffeinization of Williamsburg continues. At 595 Union Avenue, which is just around the corner from McCarren Park, a ground-floor space is getting gutted. Construction workers said a coffee bar would be moving in. The storefront is surrounded by more developments and construction sites than it is businesses, so maybe it’ll see some good traffic. GMAP

  1. Great news, as DH said, no coffee places around here. This is a welcome addition. On a related note, I also overheard that a wine shop is opening on N11th between driggs and roebling, scheduled for 11/15

  2. this part of the burg really needs a coffee place – the closest spots are oslo on roebling and gimmie coffee on lorimer and grand. anyone who wants some caffeine on the way to the lorimer l in the morning who lives north of metro has been s.o.l for a while (although the espresso at the pizza shop on lorimer/metro is great)
