The Park Slope Civic Council announced it is accepting applications for grants to be awarded to community groups for projects in arts, education, youth programs, and civic improvements. The application is open to any nonprofit or noncommerical organization looking to do some good in Park Slope. Grants range from $500 or $2,000. Past awards have been used to fund music and performing arts series, neighborhood parks and gardens, food banks, and local after-school initiatives. The application deadline is soon – November 5th – and grants will be awarded in early 2012.
