Closing Bell: Nevins Street Goes Digital
“How sweet it is,” says our tipster, who sent in this photo of the new digital subway signs at the Nevins Street stop. And we agree… waiting for the subway is a little more bearable when you at least know how late it’s gonna be!

It would be nice if they had them at the entrances too. One can only hope they extend them out to more busy stops.
They’ve had these at Franklin Ave, Eastern Parkway, Nevins, Borough Hall on the 2/3/4/5 lines for months. They are accurate. Particularly useful if you’re contemplating changing from 2/3 to 4/5 or vice-versa at Nevins.
The 2/5 stop at Winthrop has had this for months. And yes, Davey, they are actually accurate.
Those have been there for months.
The displays look a bit dated. Also, isn’t this kind of like pushing the elevator button multiple times? I mean, the train doesn’t come any faster because of the signs, so how significant is this “advance”?
You people believe these times are accurate???
Fools.
Looks like London…. I like them.
Grand Army has had it for a couple of months. Seems to be a couple of minutes off quite frequently. Still has the beeper 2 mins ahead of when a train comes in as well.
The truth is those signs don’t always work. I would say 50% of the time I’m on that subway line the signs are in service. I love it when it does work, just wish it were more often.
