Prospect Heights resident Francesco Paciocco, who made a film about Hurricane Sandy last year, has produced another short film about Brooklyn called “Forever Brooklyn.” The four-and-a-half minute film was shot entirely in black and white and incorporates archival footage of Brooklyn neighborhoods and landmarks, such as the Coney Island Parachute Jump and the Brooklyn Dodgers. Paciocco spent 20 months shooting the film across 20 different Brooklyn neighborhoods, while trying to capture the “spirit, hustle, and culture” of the borough. From skateboarders practicing jumps to concerts at the Barclays Center to boxing fights at Gleason’s Gym, the film shows a condensed version of the myriad lifestyles and subcultures in Brooklyn.
