Closing Bell: Brooklyn's Top 100

Gothamist has complied quite a list of “100 Reasons Why Brooklyn Lives Up to the Hype.” As they say, “Over the past twenty years, we’ve watched as Manhattan’s character has been steadily stripped away and strangled into a strip mall of American homogeneity. Meanwhile, Brooklyn keeps getting better.” Why? Smorgasburg and Brooklyn Flea make the list, as well as the Park Slope Food Co-Op, Freddy’s Bar and Backroom, and “agrarianism.” The top three reasons are, #3: “Attitude,” #2: The Brooklyn Bridge and #1: The Celebrate Brooklyn concert series.
