Earlier this week, the Department of City Planning released its plan for the city’s waterfront called Vision 2020: NYC Comprehensive Waterfront Plan. There will be a public forum held on October 12 at at 6 p.m. at NYU’s Rosenthal Pavilion at 60 Washington Square South in Manhattan. The Brooklyn plan is definitely worth looking at, though we didn’t see a lot of things that we hand’t heard about before. The Brooklyn version covers hot spots like Newtown Creek (which was recently added to the Superfund list), the Brooklyn Navy Yard and Brooklyn Bridge Park as well as the many piers between Red Hook and Greenpoint.
