We’re in the third week of sheltering in place and the seventh day of distance learning for New York City schools.

The Brooklyn Cruise Terminal in Red Hook will be made over into a 1,000-bed field hospital and face masks and hand sanitizer are being produced at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. The Marriott Hotel in Downtown Brooklyn and Crown Heights’ Brooklyn Center Nursing Home may also become hospital locations, Cuomo said. Meanwhile, those who are still working — from nurses in the Bronx to Amazon in Staten Island to Whole Foods stores in Brooklyn and beyond — fear they are being exposed to coronavirus and are protesting dangerous working conditions.
