As WNYC reported, the Brooklyn Brewery held a ribbon-cutting last month to celebrate the opening of its new $8 million expansion of its North 11th Street headquarters. We were lucky enough to get a tour from founder Steve Hindy earlier this week and managed to take a few photos of both the main brewery space as well as the highlight of the tour for us–the bourbon barrel room in the warehouse across the street. This is where Garrett Oliver and his crew of brewmasters store their most interesting experiments, like Brooklyn Black Ops, Brooklyn Local and Brooklyn Brown Ale. Most of these barrels come from Kentucky-based Woodford Reserve, though a few are from Pappy Van Winkle. Neato!
