A Beer Garden for Bergen
The one-story building at 61 Bergen Street has been under construction for at least a couple of months now. According to a neighborhood source, we can look forward to an “indoor beer garden” of sorts. Sound interesting? GMAP

beer hall, exactly
“Wouldn’t ‘beer hall’ be the right term? Thinking of long communal tables and big German pitchers of beer, but indoors.”
yeah – that’s what i was thinking too.

If it had fake trees, big tables and benches, and beer barrels… and maybe twinkly lights scattered on the ceiling to make it look like the night sky, that would be pretty cool. (Less cheesy than a Rainforest Cafe or Disney World, but the same idea I guess)
Only then can they call it a “Beer Garden” — actually they could even call it a Biergarten if they went to all that trouble.
So, this is just a bar that will serve beer?
I’m going to refer to my apartment as a roof-deck….its just enclosed, and on the ground floor.
just a ‘phrase’ ck out the guy from cologne in fort greene
seems to work pretty fecking well mate
i’ve been to quite a few indoor style beer gardens in germany.
indoor beer garden = oxymoron
