Curious home buyers heard from a panel of experts last week about buying a home in Brooklyn.

Brian Scott Cohen, Sales Manager at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, Brian Giambalvo, the Senior Managing Director of real estate firm Citi Habitats, and Kristen Chuber, Senior Director of Marketing at Paintzen, covered such topics as when to lock in an interest rate, what neighborhoods offer the best value for first-time buyers, and how to freshen up your home’s new look. Attorney Robert Howe, a Bay Ridge-based expert on real estate and estates, spoke about the role of the attorney in the buying process.

The event, which took place at the Brooklyn Historical Society on Tuesday, April 30, was sponsored by Citi Habitats, Paintzen, Gotham Brokerage, and Wells Fargo.

The evening, “What First-Time Home Buyers Need to Know,” was one of a series of Brownstoner Home Events workshops and panels for prospective home buyers, sellers and homeowners. Coming June 12 is “What First-Time Home Renovators Need to Know.” For more information and to buy tickets, click here.
