North Brooklyn’s latest urgent-care clinic is designed to put the patient at the center — and the building design reflects it.

In February, partners Northwell Health and GoHealth Urgent Care opened their first urgent-care spot in Brooklyn, Northwell Health-GoHealth Urgent Care, at 145 Kent Avenue in Williamsburg.

The new high-tech facility offers immediate care 365 days a year. Patients can check in online or on their phone or just drop in.

As the patient moves through the structure, electronically charged glass turns opaque for privacy or clear to allow light and visibility. Every room is connected to partner Northwell Health’s specialists and emergency network.

“The center flows very easily,” said Northwell Health Vice President of Northwell Ventures Operations Adam Boll at the grand opening earlier this year. “You can see from the front to the back with no obstructions.”

The idea is to make the patient experience “effortless,” according to the partners, who run 37 other Northwell Health-GoHealth Urgent Care locations in New York City, Westchester and on Long Island.

“This is not the same urgent care that’s been around for so long,” said GoHealth Urgent Care Chief Marketing Officer Doron Stern. “We wanted to make it fresh, we wanted to make it inviting and we wanted to make it new.”

A basic visit costs $120 to $160 and includes a clinical exam with instant lab test. Other services include x-rays, vaccines, asthma, burns and wound repair.

Northwell Health-GoHealth Urgent Care accepts a wide variety of insurance plans. Hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends. For more information or to schedule an appointment visit www.gohealthuc.com/northwell.
