Lackawanna Coffee

Coffee for the local natives

About

Lackawanna means a "stream that forks" to the Lenapes, the original inhabitants of modern-day New York City. The Lenapes encompasses the natives of Manhatta ("the land of many hills") and the Canarsies of present-day Brooklyn.

"Two roads diverged in a wood, and I — I took the one less traveled by (Lackawanna), and that has made all the difference." (Robert Frost, "The Road Not Taken")

When we arrive at a "lackawanna" or a juncture we must be old in our choosing. So Lackawanna is our homage to the past and present "natives" who fought to be able to choose the road less travelled and live a life well-lived.
