"Reis Goldberg, owner of the nine-year-old Bar Reis on Fifth Avenue in Park Slope, has turned the storefront next door into Reis 100, a self-proclaimed 'sandwich factory' that offers 100 varieties of toasted mini-meals — 69 of which cost $3.50," writes Gersh Kuntzman for the Brooklyn Paper.

Sarah DiGregorio for Fork in the Road thinks the sandwich price "is a bit on the high side considering you need at least two or three for a proper lunch. That's over $10 if you're hungry... The best (and simplest) was the sweet and savory orange-strawberry-almond jam with cream cheese. The jam floated with bits of orange peel, and squished deliciously into the cream cheese."

OTBKB is a fan: "The bread, from Caputo's Bakery is a perfectly sized soft baguette. I had the gruyere, bacon and carmelized onion sandwich which was incredbily delicious." What's your take on Reis 100 Sandwich Factory?

What's next for the "restaurant" review? Subway franchises? Why don't we just take a break on this if there's nothing new to review.

By the way, this place does make very good sandwiches. But I'm just saying....

...we don't have to review every fast food restaurant and convenience store in Brooklyn on slow news days.

I was at bar Reis two weeks ago for drink and sandwiches and loved it. There really are about 100 sandwiches on the menu-- basically everything you can imagine. I got two delicious savory sandwiches and a banana and Nutella for dessert. Which was awesome. Overall, it's a fantastic bar food option.

I don't think of this place as fast food and am interested in people's opinion...since I'd rather go to press 195 for a sandwich or s'nice. but why no menu? =(

Yeah...let's review Rye. I didn't even know it was there before your post.

What else is out there that hasn't been reviewed?

Seems to me that Brownstoner is just mixing it up a bit rather than writing up every fancy restaurant in town. I've passed this place a million times but never gave it much thought. Now I'm a bit intrigued by the inexpensive lunch options. I may have to check it out.
