"Bliss offers simple, well-prepared vegetarian and vegan food in cramped, boho-shabby quarters... With a basic herbivore menu–tofu, hijiki, seitan, beans, greens–the tiny open kitchen here turns out flavorful plates," writes Michael Kaminer for New York magazine. Yelper Bette C. recommends the "really good black bean chili and cornbread.. very great juices, too." And WCities says, "Try the marinated tofu sandwich, which comes with a spicy horseradish sauce."

"I tried the famous bliss bowl which is blend of steamed vegetables, seaweed, sweet potatoes, bean of the day, organic brown rice and choice of tofu tempeh or soba noodles with choice of creamy dill, lemon tahini miso, carrot ginger or peanut sauce ($9). It was pretty good but after cooking vegan for ourselves for 20 days it still didn’t blow our minds away as we expected," writes Plate of the Day. How would you rate Bliss?

At here a few years ago. I remember not being very happy with it. The food was bland and kind of boring. If you are looking for a vegan fix (what ever that means) I would go to wild ginger across the street. Much better.

Who cares about vegan food? My god, look at those hipsters. They are so well dressed! That Il Bisonte over-the-shoulder bag is the latest thing. Do you suppose she is a creative director at a large, multinational speciality store?

A bit boring and the ambiance is eh. I prefer to get take out. Best veg restaurants in BK, IMO are Red Bamboo and V Spot.

I went here once and thought the food was OK, and I rather liked the simple environment.
The server, however, was so downright nasty that a year later I still feel compelled to take the opportunity to slam it. No plans to return.
