"The restaurant’s interior is invitingly warm and homey, and there’s an indoor patio to sit down and enjoy the sun that enters through the skylight and falls onto lush greenery and a stone wall carving of elephants," writes Chris Varmus for the Brooklyn Paper. "Dishes often join the elegant with the whimsical: Panang chicken curry, textured with sliced peppers, lemongrass, and green onions, is served in a whole young coconut. And a dollop of rum-doused, deep fried green-tea ice cream is set ablaze just as the dish hits the table," writes Laurel Fantauzzo for New York magazine.

NFT says that Watana serves the "best Thai food on the Slope, and Brooklyn At Heart says they serve "the best Thai food in Brooklyn." Chowhound jinx has good things to say as well: "Yep, this is our standard Thai in the 'hood. Solid and what's more, we like the atmosphere...friendly, not too frenetic or loud. Doesn't hurt that its BYOB, either! And Slope Cellars is a quick minute down the block." How would you rate this place?

I don't think it's BYO any more

I love this place. It isn't byob any more. The food is excellent. Best thai in Brooklyn in my opinion. The only other Thai restaurant in the city which rivals it is sarai papai in queens.

Not BYO, but still great! My GF she doesn't like, but I think it is the best Thai in the hood. There Drunken Noodles are great and there scallion pancakes!

Best Thai in Park Slope, hands down.

We usually get delivery. The food is still great, and they get it to us quickly. I'd recommend it to anyone who likes Thai food.

We order delivery at least once per month for the last few years...The consistency is amazing, and it's probably some of the best Thai I know of in Brooklyn.

Wow, I'll have to try it again. I've only done takeout twice - first time was fine but unremarkable, second time I had burned spring rolls and pad thai with a lime wedge that had been wrung out already and mixed into the noodles. Appetizing. I prefer the food at Beet (though not the noise).

I loved this place...until they served me my dumplings topped with a belly-up baby roach. No joke. Eat at your own risk.
