"Hole-in-the-wall Mexican take-out and delivery joints are a dime a dozen on the streets of Brooklyn, but few have menus as varied, creative, and authentic as that of Yola’s... Among the pleasant surprises are the chilaquiles, soft corn tortillas smothered in a mild, creamy red or green chili sauce and topped with cheese and sour cream," writes Andrew Sessa for New York magazine.

Chowhound jay1212 describes Yola's Cafe as "an amazing, very authentic mexican place... Not much room to sit - but well worth it for the real deal. I love the enchiladas (with green salsa) and the carne enchilada tacos." Fellow 'Hound artfuldestruct also recommends Yola's, without vouching for their authenticity: "yola's certainly isn't a mecca for great mexican food, but it does satisfy when you want a real burrito and not that stupid chipotle crap."

And The Girl Who Ate Everything enjoyed Yola's "carne enchilada torta, a sandwich filled with spicy pork, refried beans, onions, cheese, avocado and jalapeños, because it combined three of my loves: pork, spiciness, and ingredients smushed between two slabs of bread. For $6, Yola's gives you a huge-ass sandwich—so huge that I'm ashamed to admit that I couldn't finish it." How would you rate this place?

Good no frills Mexican. Fairly authentic when compared to all that nuevo mexican crap they are serving in this city today. Burritos are good, tacos are really good. I'm typically wasted when I eat here, so it may not be as good as I think....
