Eric Asimov of the New York Times describes Panino'teca as "a relaxed place to drop in for a snack and a drink, with the option of moving on or making a night of it... And, if you decided to make a night of it at Panino'teca, you can't go wrong with a dessert of panini slathered with Nutella, the chocolate and hazelnut spread."

"Paninoteca is solidly tasty with some really delicious sandwiches and good prices. It reminds me a bit of 'ino in the west village. I love the a capacolla panino and the prosciutto fig bruschetta," writes Chowhound oolah. And Eat It: The Brooklyn Food Blog recommends Panino'teca's mac and cheese: "It's made with Taleggio cheese and strips of Proscuitto... It really is an amazing dish, with browned bread crumbs on top, and so many pieces of meat."

Chowhound citygirl35 raves about the brunch menu: "I love getting a bloody mary and coffee included in the price. Sitting in the garden and eating brunch in Panino'teca 275's garden is my favorite way to pass a Saturday or Sunday morning." We agree that the backyard is worth checking out — Shecky's shares a tiny glimpse of the outdoor space. How would you rate this place?

Best panini: Proscuitto, Gorgonzola, and fig jam. Unbelievably good. Very nice for a drink/light dinner in the evening. Service is so-so, seems a little hit or miss, but the atmosphere seems to make up for it.

I love the simplicity of the prosciutto and fig jam on white bread. A great all round sandwich/salad place.

One of our regular places on Smith Street. Low key and friendly service. I'm a fan of the spicy sausage and lentil stew and the above mentioned mac and cheese. The prosciutto, goat cheese and fig jam panini is also a winner. And don't miss the fried artichoke appetizer. Drinks are reasonably priced. For brunch we like the baked eggs.

Wonderful! I've always walked by and never been inclined to go in, but after reading these reviews I'm looking forward to adding another sandwich place to the list of local joints.

"I love getting a bloody mary and coffee included in the price. Favorite way to spend weekend morning is drink and waste the day away. Don't these people have anything productive to do?

This place is great - one of the things missed by reviewers is Panino is an attempt to offer a comprehensive menu of Italian finger foods. Not that that can really be done, but i love the effort. I have passed many a good time here, there are nice regulars. Try to eggplant napoleon, awesome. And they have something for everyone. India the owner is good people.

Gosh, the place has a nice atmosphere but the food just sucks. It's disconcerting that anyone could think differently.

One drink at brunch does not make a lush, and she's talking about wasting "a morning", by brunch time the morning is like 2 hours?..
