Kevin's hasn't gotten much mainstream press yet, but the local Chowhounds certainly seem to like it. "The size, decor, and overall warmth of this place immediately made me remember why I love this borough so much more than that other one across the east river. The menu, portions, quality, and price were all fantastic. I had the blackberry pancakes which were some of the best I've ever had - definitely better than anything in BoCoCa/Height/Slope," writes the_state.

Wave Mechanic also gives the place a rave review: "My teenage children, wife and I had brunch at Kevin's today and it was magical. My Eggs Benedict with smoked trout (the 'Adirondack') was superb; hamburgers with crispy pommes frites were a hit with wife and daughter, and the shrimp chowder and seafood stew got high marks from my gourmand son. Relaxed and stylish setting, and *extremely* reasonable prices."

As for dinner, the Brooklyn Paper reports, "The restaurant features a menu centered around seafood, with appetizers and entrees including a corn shrimp chowder ($6) and grilled salmon with fall vegetables ($18)." Another 'hound, vatl619, simply says that Kevin's is "so delicious, so reasonably priced, so worth the trip!" What do you think about this place?

Best brunch I've had in ages and a total bargain for what you get. Press pots of Stumptown coffee and eggs benedict that made me realize how bad every other version of it I've ever had has been. The owners are wonderful and the vibe is really laid back and inviting.

Brunch here is great. Pancakes, burgers, crabcakes, and fish soup are all excellent. Nice, family vibe with cool blues music on the sound system. Food is really good at dinner, but the vibe is way more subdued. Hopefully dinner will pick up and these guys will do well because it's a great addition to the Brooklyn food scene.

What a great experience all the way around. Food is CHEAP and so good. Brunch is awesome but I like dinner even better. Plus, BYOB. Atmosphere is down to earth and is overall such a great place to eat.
