"With flavor that goes from pathetically mild to truly torturous, Wing Wagon has been offering finger-staining, Buffalo-style chicken wings at its fluorescent-scorched, cramped five-table storefront since the early nineties," says New York magazine. "This is not a cool place to sit and eat in. It is a cool place to order large amounts of wings for you and your 20 guest who decide to show up at your house with no announcements," says Yelper Manny F.

Wing sauces come in mild, medium, hot, xhot, and xxxhot, and blogger Nom Nom Nom NYC says, "The [hot] wings weren't super spicy, but just right. They were big enough that we weren't able to polish off the 20 between us. The sweet potato fries....perfection. Lightly salted. Great with ketchup. Best I've had in a while." But in a recent post, Chowhound jen kalb said, "Wing Wagon?? That may be pretty disappointing - the last time I went the wings were very dry." How would you rate this place?

I like to load my 50000$ SUV up with wings, put back the seat so my fat stomach clears the wheel and roll down Flatbush talking on my cell and honking at all the ladies.

I used to go there for decent sandwiches on pitas. But then I got an order of onion rings which melted holes in the cheap styrofoam takeout containers. Yuck!

Wings are kind of small. Decent but not as good as wings from 200 5th Ave or Bonnies.

Bonnie's rings rock! I live conveniently close for their takeout...

Has anybody tried the new Atomic Wings on 9th Street yet?

They're "ok" at best. Seeing as there's a lack of wing places in my area (Cobble Hill), I decided to make the trek up to Flatbush Ave one day. I won't go back. If I lived nearby... maybe, if I was really jonesing. However, these are no way even close to being in the same league as Atomic Wings (haven't tried the new PS locale yet).

Wing Wagon is Brooklyn at its best.

Get ripped at O'Connor's, wake up around noon, head over to Wing Wagon and soak up your hangover with bag of spicy wings.

They might not be the best, but they do the job and the price is right.

I ate here once, about 7 or 8 years ago, so too long ago to review... but I remember that I was not impressed. I always wanted to visit the Up-Over Jazz Cafe upstairs, but never got there before it closed.

Santa, regarding, Yummy Taco... I strongly recommend against eating there. I used to live above it and know a little too much about the conditions. Although, perhaps things have changed. Not likely... but perhaps.
