The floor guy is almost finished laying down the salvaged parquet we bought from Olde Good Things a couple weeks ago. It's going in the center of the parlor floor where we had removed 4 closets to open up the floor into a loft-like plan. The size and pattern match the adjacent area, but we won't know until everything is sanded and refinished how well it fits in. We're purchasing a lot of the materials and fixtures directly, especially the salvaged things that are impossible to specify much in advance and require a very specific tast/eye.
