Laying Down the Salvaged Parquet

zig
zag

The floor guy is almost finished laying down the salvaged parquet we bought from Olde Good Things a couple weeks ago. It's going in the center of the parlor floor where we had removed 4 closets to open up the floor into a loft-like plan. The size and pattern match the adjacent area, but we won't know until everything is sanded and refinished how well it fits in.

Who is installing your wood floors? Did they mind that you purchased the flooring materials yourself? Thanks in advance for yr reply.

Our GC is doing it. We're purchasing a lot of the materials and fixtures directly, especially the salvaged things that are impossible to specify much in advance and require a very specific tast/eye.
