That vent is beautiful!! My Grandmother had intricately patterned vents throughout her house. Her home was of the Victorian era. It even had a concrete block in near the roadside for the ladies to step on as they stepped off of their carriage.. or at least that is what I was told as a child. If you're interested, there is a website called associatedcontent.com that has a bunch of home improvement and do it yourself articles. I believe they are looking for more articles as well if you wanted to post anything youve learned through out your renovation process. I think there is a chance that you can get paid for a post as well. At any rate, good luck with your home. It looks as if its coming along nicely.

Nice, but I would have stripped it. Looks gobbed up with 100+ years of paint. It would strip easily.
