Painting Wooden Mantels
For now, we're just painting the two wooden mantelpieces on the top floor.

Are those fleur de lis tiles in the fireplace? That's a nice detail.
Have you guys come accross fireplace tiles in the salvage shops? We have some marble and slate mantles that are missing the stone on the floor in front and are considering looking for some nice salvaged tiles to cover the missing stone area - to the extent we can find something that works. What do you think?
