Another View of the Kitchen

I have trouble understanding the economics of a temp kitchen. I don't know how much you can get for a room/studio without a kitchen but it seems like you'd have to have a tenant for an awfully long time to pay for even a small Ikea kitchen that will need to be pulled out and replaced when you take over the floor. Especially if you are buying smallers scale appliances than you might otherwise (or will in the future) in the larger version of the kitchen.

Valid point, but we'll pay for the kitchen with one year of renting out the back half of the parlor floor. We're assuming we're going to keep this configuration for 5 years or so, so maybe "temporary" isn't quite the right way to describe it. Maybe "medium-term"???

I too am renovating and using IKEA Hallarum cabinets (dark brown). Just ordered last weekend and cant wait to see how non-IKEA-ish they look when installed. Pls post pics when cabinet doors are up! I'll do the same. Good luck.
