Removing Linoleum

post linoleum

We finally took up the linoleum that was on the foor of the small rear bedroom on the top floor. Hopefully we'll be able to remove all the old glue without damaging the wood floors.

We had a similiar situation... we ended up using a darker stain to hid some of the old damage .. now we call it the "distressed look". We had a ton of nails hammered in too.

How do you plan to remove the glue? We have a similar situation in one room and were told that the floor is basically ruined because you can't sand it (any sander would get gummed up so quickly you'd never get anywhere). Do you plan to scrape by hand or use a solvent of some kind?

Hi, we have the same situation as the poster above. Brownstoner, any thoughts?
