Grouting the Wall Tiles
These wall tiles have been grouted with white grout and we're not sure we like the effect. Should we go over it with some darker grout to get some contrast or not? The rest of the bathrooms are still ungrouted.

I faced the same decision and went with a medium-gray grout. The deciding moment was when I went to London and my hotel room was subway tile with gray grout. It looked great. (fyi...the hotel is The Great Eastern Hotel at Liverpool Street Station.) In my opinion, subway tile with white grout looks too plain. The gray grout makes the whole wall "pop."

If you use white grout on the floor, it'll probably end up gray anyway - while the wall will stay white

From a sort of uptight OCD point of view-
you can tell when white grout is clean.
With gray, who knows?
From the asthetic standpoint:
Gray grout gives the space interest because there are complicated lines- can be add interest, or distract from other focal points.
With white, the interest is textural and more subtle, which can be lovely or boring depending on your personal aesthetic.
forced to decide, I like white everytime.
Good luck deciding!
