Adding Some Closet Space in the Rental
When we realized that we had failed to give the rental unit enough closet space, we scrambled to build some. We think it works fine in the space--plenty of room in the bedroom still.

from a design/architectural pov - i would have taken the closet right up to the window and also make the closet flushed to it as well. leaving such a small and awkward niche between closet and window is always something i try to avoid at all cost.

The closet's much deeper than the start of the window though. Didn't want to block the window. Will probably build some shelves into that niche. Admittedly an imperfect solution though.
