Last week the Department of Buildings approved a demolition permit for the building at 61 Park Place, a modest brick structure set back on a large lot. The DOB disapproved a new building permit for five stories and 17 units last month. According to the Massey Knakal announcement of this sale, the lot is “80 feet by 100 feet and comprises approximately 16,100 buildable square feet. Eighty feet of frontage allows for development of four luxury townhouses on an attractive low-rise residential block in Park Slope.” The developer paid $5,750,000 for the lot this summer.
