This large two-bedroom in Greenwood Heights has a lot of prewar features and original details. The parquet floors, rounded archways, and little cut-outs over the kitchen stove and sink all show the apartment’s history, as does the yellow bathroom with the art deco shower. The 1,200-square-foot apartment has an eat-in kitchen (picture No. 2 in the listing), separate living room with a fireplace, and 1.5 baths. And it’s only four blocks from the D train at 36th Street. What do you think of it for $2,300?

  1. That’s a huge apartment (1200 sf.) $2300 seems right to me for the space. Isn’t this the street that was Paul Aster’s inspiration for the setting of his novel “Sunset Park”? BTW locals call this area the Greenwood section of Sunset Park.

  2. I was surprised that the other commenter thinks this a decent price. I think it’s high. The size is good, but that yellow bathroom….everyday? You definitely have to go for the “old world charm” but aside from this, I’m not as certain what this area has to offer at that price.
