Despite blog commenters not buying the asking price of the $2.5 million Greenpoint townhouse listed by model Josh Wald, Curbed reports that the home has already entered contract. The price is rumored to be the full ask. The home, purchased three years ago for $920,000 and totally renovated, boasts a recording studio, wine cellar and library. Commenters weren’t crazy about the price or the new look, and the New York Times wrote an article about the debate. If this home indeed sells at ask, it will break the record for the highest residential sale in Greenpoint. The record was set this August when 143 Kent Street sold for $2.25 million.
