Last week brought huge sales to Brooklyn, so the sale at Greenpoint’s 87A Guernsey Street didn’t even make the Biggest Sales cut. It’s worth its own post considering that commenters scoffed at the asking price of $2,499,000, and the seller responded in a New York Times article. Then there was word this fall that the home entered contract at ask and the new buyers would move in in November. The sale just hit public records, with the magic number of $2,499,000. The model-seller Josh Wald deserves some credit: He purchased the house for $920,000 and flipped it three years later. Impressed?
