Academy Award winning actor Matt Damon is looking to fly from the sunny hills of Southern California to the tree-lined streets of Brooklyn Heights.

Damon was recently spotted checking out 3 Pierrepont Place, according to the New York Post. The brownstone mansion, which has been on the market for a cool $40 million for over a year, is the priciest townhouse in Brooklyn. Earlier this year, he and his wife, Luciana Barroso, tried enrolling their children in nearby Saint Ann’s School.

2 and 3 Pierrepont Place have been dubbed “the last great brownstone mansions in New York City.” Number 3, built in 1857 and now divided into eight apartments, boasts 16 bedrooms, 16 bathrooms, and nearly 18,000 square feet of living space. It also features nine fireplaces. The childhood home of Brooklyn and New York City Mayor Seth Low, it has views of the Brooklyn Bridge and New York Harbor.

This isn’t Damon’s first spin around Brooklyn Heights — Brownstoner spotted him at Tazza on Clark Street earlier this year, indicating his interest in Brooklyn is very real.
