Earlier this month we found out Moon River Chattel is closing. Now it turns out the owners are selling the whole building.

Built around 1835, the wood frame building with brick extension comprises the ground-floor commercial space and finished basement, a duplex apartment over the store, and a backyard courtyard and deck.

The elegant apartment looks a lot like the store, with salvaged bath, kitchen and light fixtures and spare, simple furnishings. We especially like the window over the kitchen sink overlooking the deck — and appreciate they managed to work in a dishwasher even with a farmhouse sink. We don’t see a washing machine or dryer though.

Do you think it’s well priced at $3,500,000?
