This 1860s Italianate brick two-family comes with two wood-burning fireplaces and some impressive plasterwork on the parlor floor, not to mention pocket doors, a pier mirror, and other original details. Currently set up as a triplex over a garden rental, the house is 21.5 feet wide and also has a deck. The ask is $3,500,000. What do you think? Has anyone seen it in person?

  1. You’re right; it looks like a temporary solution to a problem that doesn’t really exist, but who DOES put up a wall projecting from a fireplace? That is just weird and hideous. It’s almost comical that there is a gap at the top for the ceiling fan! Is that meant to cool the 2 rooms simultaneously? I have never seen someone do this anywhere else. It is odd. Other than that the house looks pretty good, and wider homes are the most sought-after, even if painted in non-traditional colors.
