The former home of a commercial laundry company close to Prospect Park in Crown Heights has sold to Cornell Realty Management for $14,500,000, DNAinfo reported. The 38,000-square-foot lot at 46 Crown Street currently houses three brick buildings previously owned by Central Laundry Service Corp.

Central Laundry, which used to be known as Sea Crest Linen, filed for bankruptcy and laid off its 200 employees last fall, according to Crain’s. While these particular buildings are classed as factories, the zoning in the area allows a residential development as tall as seven stories and up to 114,210 square feet, according to PropertyShark.
