This Clinton Hill co-op is laid out in a linear fashion, with a large living room/dining room and three bedrooms lined up end to end and connected by a long hallway. It’s on Mansion Row in the Clinton Hill historic district, in a prominent 32-unit elevator building known as the Clinton Apartments at 275 Clinton Avenue.

Built as rental apartments in 1897 and designed by Edward Betts in the Neo-Classical style, it’s one of the older apartment buildings in the borough. We’ve featured it as a Building of the Day and a Past and Present.

The large, open living/dining room is the featured attraction here, with two exposures, a tiled decorative fireplace in the corner, and some built-in cabinets.

The one bedroom pictured may be bigger than it looks in the photo, going by an old floor plan we found from a previous listing. (The floor plan may or may not be current. It indicates four bedrooms, not three, so something has probably changed.)

The kitchen isn’t pictured, nor is the full bath or half bath, so the condition there is an open question.

The building offers a communal backyard with a grill, a bike room, storage and a gym. It’s also got quite the styling lobby, with tin ceilings, leaded glass windows, fireplaces and mahogany woodwork.

This unit hit the market around a year ago priced at an ambitious $1.8 million; by December it was down to $1.575 million, but still hadn’t sold and was taken off the market. Now it’s back, listed by Alain da Sylveira of Fillmore, and priced at $1.399 million. Monthly charges are $1,175. How does it look to you?
