Clearly this co-op at 62 Pierrepont Street has some drawbacks (why else would a two-bedroom in Brooklyn Heights be priced at $499,000) but it’s not all bad. There are nice prewar details, lots of windows and a quirky, long entrance hall to balance out the railroad layout and brick-wall views. What do you make of it?

  1. Wow – the apartment version of a near-death experience:

“It was amazing…I – I saw this long corridor…at the end of which was a beautiful toilet bowl, just beckoning me to come & sit down.

I felt a very strong urge to go, both towards the bowl & once I was on it.

But I also kept hearing a disembodied voice saying, ‘No, you cannot go there, you must hold it in; it’s not time yet.’

It was at that point I woke up on the operating table, the pre-op enema having just been inserted.”
