As Curbed noted yesterday, Corcoran listed 1 Main’s infamous Clocktower residency for $18 million. That’s the lowest price the triplex penthouse has asked. It hit the market about a year ago for $19 million, after dropping down from $23.5 million. (The highest asking price for this apartment is $25 million.) At the time, brokers were trying to lure in buyers from the tech industry, but apparently there were no bites. Now at $18 million, the condo is now tied with the Park Slope mansion at 105 Eighth Avenue as the most expensive listing in Brooklyn. What would you rather pay $18 million for — a stunning view of Manhattan out of a 14-foot glass clock or a Beaux-Arts Neo-Classical limestone mansion?
