Williamsburg is known for its hip cultural offerings, retail options and for being a symbol of Brooklyn’s renaissance — less heralded is its stock of historic rowhouses.

We’ve rounded up five spacious specimens in Williamsburg and East Williamsburg. They range in type, material and condition but, notably, all but one is extra wide.

They boast a range of vintage and modern amenities, including tin ceilings, crown moldings, backyard swimming pools and in-unit washer/dryers. The selected properties include fixer-uppers and some in move-in condition.

Despite the L-train’s impending shutdown — a factor which may make for better bargaining power — the neighborhood’s longterm appeal as one of the borough’s primary cultural hubs is unlikely to fade anytime soon.

The prices range from $1.349 million to $2.95 million.

This wood-frame rowhouse on Richardson Street, a block from McCarren Park, is extra wide at 25 feet and detached on one side. It looks to be in move-in condition, although a new owner might want to redo the facade. Inside, there are tin ceilings, crown moldings, updated hardwood floors, in-unit washer/dryers, updated electric, and new kitchen appliances, according to the listing. It’s set up as a one-bedroom apartment with a deck over a three-bedroom unit with garden access. The apartments have separate front doors.

Over on South 5th Street is an estate-sale fixer-upper with a beautiful Italianate brick and brownstone facade. There are no interior photos and the house is being sold “as is.” The four-story brick townhouse is 22 feet wide and has three units spread across 3,520 square feet. It’s set up as two floor-through rental apartments over a garden-floor duplex. Given sufficient time, love and money, this home has potential.

Over on the East Williamsburg–Bushwick border, in an unprotected and historic area of the neighborhood, is this impressively wide property. A 25-foot-wide wood frame covered in vinyl siding, its rear sports an old cornice and inside some rooms have moldings and one has a coffered ceiling. The two-story two-family has a backyard with patio and second floor terrace, and the kitchen pictured appears recently updated.

A block from the Lorimer Street L train station, this bay-fronted wood-frame Queen Anne has gotten the stucco treatment. It’s the only one of our picks that isn’t extra wide, but at a full 20 feet it’s not narrow either. Inside, there are three floor-through units, each with two bedrooms. Not much detail remains, going by the photos, which don’t show any kitchens or bathrooms.
