If brownstones in Bedford Stuyvesant and big freestanding houses in the Ditmas Park vicinity make your heart beat faster, this is your week for open house picks. We’ve got two in each category, with each pair grouped fairly close together, making it easy to hit two in one trip. Three of them are in turnkey shape (one being newly constructed), another is in mystery condition, and presumably needs work.

On East 17th Street in Fiske Terrace we’ve got a standalone, turreted house with three stories. This one’s got a ton of space, with seven bedrooms and an extensive first floor that includes a living room, dining room, den, family room, kitchen and bay-windowed breakfast room. It’s got a fair amount of detail as well, including pocket doors with leaded glass, parquet floors, mahogany paneling and built-in cabinetry, stained glass windows, and a brick fireplace. Kitchen and baths are renovated (and heavy on the marble), the basement is finished, and there’s a driveway and central A/C.

The next one is a newly constructed brownstone, built on a 14-foot-wide lot on Lexington Avenue in Bed Stuy. It’s modern and tricked out with solar panels, a surround-sound system, a security system, and smartphone-controlled thermostat and lighting. It’s got a one-bedroom rental on the bottom floor and a three-bedroom quadruplex above, which includes a full-floor master suite and a sunroom with a pair of terraces on top.

A mere three blocks away on Monroe Street in Bed Stuy, we find a three-family brownstone. It’s currently set up with a separate unit on each floor. Beyond that there’s not a whole lot we can tell you — the listing says nothing about condition, and the sole interior photo is a closeup of a marble fireplace on the parlor floor. The listing does offer that that floor also holds “original door frames.”

Last stop is Stratford Road in Ditmas Park West, where stands a fully detached six-bedroom Victorian with a wraparound porch. It’s completely renovated, with modern kitchen and baths. It’s got six bedrooms, including an expansive master with double bay windows. There’s also a two-car driveway, a garage that’s been converted into an “entertainment space,” and a finished English basement with a full bath.
