There’s a common thread among our open house picks this weekend — all of them are newly gut renovated. On the downside, that means original details are not part of the game plan; on the plus side, all are essentially brand new, no work needed. They’re found in Bed Stuy, Park Slope, Sunset Park and Bushwick.

First up is a four-story brownstone on Van Buren Street in Bed Stuy — an open house pick back in May, which now has a new broker and a reduced price. It’s a three-family, with a pair of rental units (one including a roof deck) over an owner’s duplex. The modern interior has a few nods to the building’s pedigree, including restored original case moldings on the living room windows and an antique front door. The kitchen’s got marble counters, custom cabinets and a Bertazzoni range; other high-end touches include marble-clad bathrooms, zoned a/c with wi-fi thermostats, HD surveillance cameras. Each unit’s got a separate boiler and hot water tank.

The next one is a one-family frame house, on 16th Street in the South Slope, which is brand new to the market. There’s no floor plan, but it appears to be on the small side, with two bedrooms and a full bath on each of the top two floors. There’s an open plan ground floor with an open staircase, a powder room and a washer and dryer.

In Sunset Park on 51st Street, a semi-detached three-story brownstone, which the listing describes as “a masterpiece.” Twenty feet wide, the house has an upper duplex, with three bedrooms and three full baths, and a garden rental, which is duplexed with a finished basement. The owner’s duplex has an open plan first floor, with recessed lighting, exposed brick accents, mod light fixtures, a kitchen with an island and copious white cabinetry, and a paneled-glass rear wall leading out to a steel-railed deck. This one has also made a previous appearance in open house picks; it’s since seen a $100K price cut.

Finally, on Chauncey Street in Bushwick we’ve got another two-family, this one with a flat brick facade. This one’s got an owner’s duplex over a 1.5-bedroom garden apartment. The duplex has three bedrooms, with exposed wood beams (and 10-foot ceilings); the master’s got an en suite bath and a walk-in closet. It probably doesn’t need to be said that there’s an open-plan parlor floor, which has a small sun room in the rear that leads to a wraparound deck, and a kitchen with a U-shaped white stone countertop.
