Our Open House Picks from six months ago come Bed Stuy, Clinton Hill and Gravesend — slim pickings as we chose them during Christmas season.

In the Bed Stuy division is a two-family house on Halsey Street, set up with a three-bedroom upper duplex and a two-bedroom rental, with a basement rec room. At 17 feet wide it’s not huge, but it’s been nicely renovated, including updated mechanicals and roof, and has an inviting look to it. Good location as well.

The property sold for $1.5 million in February, $175,000 over the $1.325 million ask.

Over on Monroe Street is another renovated two-family, this one offering a triplex over a garden rental. The four-bedroom triplex has a master suite that takes up an entire floor, with a walk-in closet and a terrace. We’re not loving the finishes on this one, but it’s got a pair of decorative mantels and a fair amount of space.

The home sold for $1.45 million in April, $125,000 under its $1.575 million ask.

On Washington Avenue in Clinton Hill is a semi-detached brick Italianate, 20 feet wide. This listing offers two mysteries: one is how it looks inside, given that only exterior photos are offered. The other is why it was put on the market at $1.8 million and raised within days to $2 million. The listing says it needs renovating, but has “many details still remaining from pocket doors to moldings to clawfoot tubs.”

The property is still on the market, its $2 million ask reduced by $125,000 to $1.875 million.

Our last stop is Avenue W in Gravesend, where we find a large fully detached two-family home with a private driveway. There’s a two-bedroom unit on each floor, along with a finished basement with an additional bedroom and a separate entrance. The living spaces are bright and expansive and have original parquet floors, and the plumbing and electric are new.

The home sold for $1.725 million in March, $270,000 under its $1.995 million ask.
