The top 10 listings on Brownstoner this week included a Neo-Grec brownstone in Bed Stuy, a single-family with a front porch in Bensonhurst, and a Bay Ridge Craftsman with a garage.

There were multiple popular listings in Bed Stuy and Bay Ridge this week. The cheapest of the bunch was the aforementioned home in Bensonhurst asking $899,000, and the most expensive was an “ultra deluxe” brownstone in Cobble Hill asking $6.495 million.

Which would you choose?

10. Here’s a Bed Stuy brownstone in a historic district, this one a Neo-Grec three-story with an angled front on Halsey Street in Stuy Heights. This one’s got a two-bedroom duplex over a one-bedroom garden rental. Again, some nice original detail, including crown moldings, pocket shutters, ceiling medallions, a slate mantel and a huge and lovely arched mahogany pier mirror.

9. This stop is on 71st Street in Dyker Heights, where we find a limestone with a barrel front and an enclosed garage. It’s a two-family with a floor-through apartment on each floor. There’s also a finished basement with a kitchenette and a half-bath. Condition looks pretty good, including the kitchens, and there are original details including stained glass and parquet floors. There’s a backyard and a small terrace at the rear of the upper unit.

8. This home is a fully renovated brownstone, on Macon Street in the Bedford Historic District. This one offers a triplex and a pair of studio apartments, presumably on the garden level. It likewise has some original detail, including carved window casings and the newel post and bannister. It’s also got some unfortunate design choices — like the flooring that looks like faux-wood tile on the parlor floor, which extends up the fireplace wall and makes an appearance upstairs as well.

7. This home is a three-story brick number with an interior garage on Chauncey Street in Bed Stuy, which was built a mere 12 years ago. This one’s a three family — there’s no floor plan but presumably there’s a pair of floor-throughs and a smaller unit behind the garage, with access to the backyard. The photos reveal little in the way of charm, but the listing says it’s in “mint condition” and “no renovations are necessary.”

5. In Bensonhurst on West 9th Street is an early 20th century single-family home with an inviting front porch. Though the home is only 17 feet wide, the first floor has an extension and is 58 feet long. The extra-deep space includes the living room, dining room, kitchen and half bath. Above, are four bedrooms and a full bath. The bathroom appears to have new tile on the walls, but they kept the very 1950s pink counter and blue sink that matches the tub.

Inside, the home retains its original parquet floors, wainscoting, moldings and staircase.
